A graphic designer, illustrator and watercolorist, Dick has been exhibiting watercolors in art fairs across the Midwest since 2007, including shows in Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Chicago, Cleveland, Lexington and Louisville. His paintings have been accepted for national exhibitions in Houston, Charlotte, Kansas City, San Diego and Colorado Springs
His watercolors cover a range of subjects from traditional landscapes and still lifes to the unexpected. Featured in his collection titled “Eye Candy” are paintings of candy, popsicles and cupcakes that bring delight to young patrons and smiles to their parents. His work includes bright, rich color and a fondness for dramatic shadows. Dick lives in Cincinnati and has a BFA from Miami University. www.dickclose.com
